Privacy Policy

The short version

Everything you type into the translator stays in your browser. We have no backend that receives your text, no accounts, and no databases of translations. This page explains the few things we do collect and why.

Text you type is never sent to us

The translation engine runs entirely as JavaScript in your browser. When you type English or paste Wingdings symbols, the conversion happens on your device. Neither the text nor the result is transmitted to our servers, stored, logged or shared.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand, in aggregate, which pages are visited and which features (copy, export, font switching) are used. These tools receive standard technical data such as your approximate region, browser type, device type, and pages viewed. Clarity may record anonymized interaction sessions (mouse movements and scroll patterns, with text input masked) to help us improve the layout. You can block both with any standard cookie blocker or browser tracking protection without affecting the translator's functionality.

Cookies

The site itself sets no cookies. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity may set cookies or similar identifiers when they load, as described in their respective privacy policies (Google: policies.google.com/privacy; Microsoft: privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement).

Advertising

If the site displays advertising in the future, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com). When ads are enabled, we will update this policy with the applicable disclosures, including the ads.txt reference.

Third-party links

Our content may link to external sites (such as Wikipedia or official documentation). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.

Children's privacy

The site is a general-audience tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the "Last updated" date above will change, and material changes will be noted on this page.
